    FAQ

Will NAATI certified translation be required?

Most personal documents such as IDs, passports and government-issued certificates, and all documents required for visa application purposes, or the legal courts, will need to be stamped, signed and bear the certification of the NAATI certified translator. The certified translation services by NAATI certified translators is sometimes referred to as NAATI translation services.

How much does the document translation cost?

The quickest way to get a fixed and official quote to proceed is by submitting your documents for review. Cost will vary depending on the legibility, language, layout, content-type and volume of documents required for translation. Discounts may apply for repeat-customers. If NAATI translator certification is not required, the cost for the translation may be lower as there is a larger pool of available translators ready to assist with the project.

How long does the translation take?

Single page standard documents may be delivered within a business day, and most requests of 1-3 pages will take 1-2 business days for email (PDF) delivery.

Do I need to visit the office to submit original documents?

No, our services are online only and everything can be done by email. We only need a clear scan or picture of your document(s) for translation and a working email from our clients.

For certified translation delivery, the certification only pertains to who prepares the translation (a NAATI certified translator) and the accuracy of the translation from the document copy sighted. This is not the same as certify true copy, which is usually prepared by a notary public or JP for the purposes of confirming a copy of the document is the same as the original when presented with the physical documents.

Certify true copy is a 1-1 comparison of documents, and our NAATI translators do not provide this service.

    Do you provide apostille service?

Apostilles are provide by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for the purpose of authentication of document (i.e. confirming the authenticity of documents).

If you have additional apostille page/s (from DFAT) requiring translation, please submit these together for a confirmed quote.

Always check with the receiving authority for what is required for your purposes, before you proceed with translation.

Can I get the certified translation by email?

Yes, the translations are delivered by email (in PDF) by default, your location is not an issue for receiving NAATI certified translation by email. We also provide a postage option if hard copy is required in Australia, and in some specific cases overseas.

How do I get a hard copy of certified translation?

An express postage option is usually offered in the quote for clients based in Australia.

Is there an expiry for NAATI translations?

There is no expiry for NAATI certified translations delivered, as the accuracy does not change with time. The expiry date in the NAATI translator's stamp only pertains to when the translator has to renew his/her certification in order to continue preparing certified translation.
