    Can translated chat messages be used in Australian courts?

    Yes. When NAATI-certified, translated chat messages are accepted as evidence in Australian courts, the Family Court, Fair Work Commission and immigration tribunals. We provide certification only on the specific messages you select.

    How do you handle group chats with multiple speakers?

    Each speaker is clearly labelled in the translation. We preserve the conversation flow, timestamps and identify who said what, exactly as shown in the original screenshots.

    What format do I receive the translations in?

    Translations are delivered as a formatted document (PDF or Word) with each screenshot's content translated in order. For certified translations, each page carries the NAATI stamp and translator declaration.

    Do I need to translate every single message?

    No. You can send us specific date ranges or conversation threads. For legal matters, we recommend translating broadly first at the standard rate, then selecting key messages for certification — this is far more cost-effective than certifying everything.

    How long does it take?

    For standard (non-certified) translation, turnaround is 1-3 business days depending on volume. A job of 20-30 screenshots is typically completed within 24 hours. Express options are available for urgent court deadlines. NAATI certification of selected screenshots requires additional processing time.

    What about deleted or recalled messages?

    We can only translate what is visible in your screenshots. If messages have been deleted or recalled, we note this in the translation. For legal proceedings, courts generally accept translations of available evidence.

    Is my data kept confidential?

    Absolutely. All client materials are handled under strict confidentiality. Chat screenshots are processed only by assigned translators and are not shared, stored or used for any other purpose. We can sign NDAs for sensitive matters.
